Webinar recap: How to win in BPCI: It Starts with the Docs

Value-based payment programs offer an important incentive for providers to invest in redesigning care workflows. This can lead to lower total cost of care, better patient outcomes and experience, and more fulfilled care teams. Providers who successfully redesign workflows to optimize care delivery stand to win significantly in BPCI-A and beyond. However, care workflow redesign is difficult and requires alignment with clinical teams – especially physicians. To achieve this alignment, clinician leaders and administrators need better engagement with physicians as well as timely and accurate data.

Last Thursday, we hosted the second webinar in our How to Win in BPCI Advanced series, It Starts with the Docs. In this webinar, we were joined by the CEO of Colorado’s leading orthopedic practice, Dr. Davis Hurley, to discuss how to engage physicians in the shift to value.

Dr. Adam Travis, Clarify Health’s Senior Director of Business Development, kicked off the webinar with a discussion surrounding how providers can use big data and predictive analytics to redesign care workflows, with a specific focus on the BPCI Advanced program.

Dr. Sarah Chen, Clarify Health’s VP of Clinical Transformation, then hosted an interview with Dr. Hurley to discuss how Orthopedic Centers of Colorado approach collaboration with care teams and physician engagement. To watch highlights from this interview, click here.

Orthopedic Centers of Colorado wants to be the value-based leader in Boulder, in their state, and across the US. To learn more about OCC, you can watch this video which highlights the work they’re doing to make this a reality.
